Good drone for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleasantly surprised when my item was shipped ahead of schedule. I have owned multiple DJI drones in the past from the Spark to my current Mavic 2 Pro. The Mavic mini has pleasantly surprised me because of its size and it’s unexpected performance. It holds up well in mild winds, battery life is awesome, and the video/photo quality is pretty darn good but of course the Mavic 2 still has better quality. Some call it a beginner drone but keep in mind the obstacle avoidance is non existent, so if it’s ur first time fly make sure you fly in an open space. If it’s not available the propeller guards are recommended. Lastly if you can afford it definitely purchase with the fly more combo.

Mavic Mini Big results from small package
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the Mavic Mini flymore pkg over the basic pkg for several reasons. Bang for the buck. No regrets at all. Used it yesterday at the beach and captured some great video. Flymore has the three batteries along with charger that can charge all three at the same time. Technically not all at once, will charge the strongest batt and so on. Comes w case along w prop guards. Purchased separately would be more than the $100 difference. Download the DJI app, quick calibration out of the box and you are ready for the first flight. I would recommend using the prop guards for the first couple of flights if you have never used a drone before. Remove them once you have acquired some confidence w it. My brother in law is now considering buying one. You can't go wrong with the DJI Mavic Mini however I would recommend to go with the fly more pkg.(less down time) You would have to plug the charger directly to the Mavic Mini otherwise. I included pic of the Mini and pics of some pic. examples. Hope this review helped.

Great portable aerial photography platform
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a Phantom 3 Advanced, and while I love it it is a bit of a production to transport and fly due to the size. I recently bought a motorcycle and the idea of a drone I could throw in my backpack and take anywhere with me seemed really attractive. Pros: - Compact and light weight - Very easy to fly - Mode switching allows for very cinematic shots while also regaining the performance to get shots that need a higher speed - The DJI Fly app works great and provides tons of useful information - The low cost and small size makes it easier to perform maneuvers in places I wouldn't dare to fly my Phantom - Video performance is great Cons: - No SDK (yet) so Litchi isn't able to work with it. I hope this will happen soon though - No RAW for still images, and the on oard jpeg processing leaves a bit to be desired This is definitely an amazing aerial platform, it is a ton of fun to fly, and the size makes it easy to get some unique perspectives that would be more difficult or more risky to do with a larger aircraft. The lack of RAW leaves me preferring to shoot video over stills, but likely makes this unsuitable for most "professional" shots. Being under 250 grams isn't a big deal to me as I don't mind registering my aircraft and am pursuing my commercial license, but the small size make it incredibly portable and the drone you have with you is more likely to get flown than the one that stays at home. Definitely have recommended this to people I know that are in the market for a beginner friendly aerial photography platform.

Easy to fly
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First time drone owner, other than a cheap toy I bought for my son once. The Mavic Mini is incredibly easy to fly, right out of the box, and sure to please. The DJI Fly app is easy enough to use, if you have some basic understanding of how your phone/tablet interfaces with the app, the remote, and the remote with the drone. Once you get this understanding down, flying is pretty easy. Too easy really. Please read up about where and when you can and cannot legally and ethically fly. Because the drone is so small and light, you will notice that wind is an issue. The drone is capable of flying in some wind and will tell you when the wind is too strong. Actually, it will terrify you with a warning that your drone "will not be able to return" to you and to lower altitude immediately. I've crashed mine once, when the battery was low in the Return to Home feature, while fantastic, is not paired with any obstacle avoidance technology. Therefore, when it initiates to return to home, it will fly up and into whatever might be around while trying to return to the until GPS location from takeoff. Mine flew up and into a tree in doing so. No real damage inflected however--just lessons learned. All in all, a solid purchase, if not a bit gimmicky. Video captures are good (not 4K good but good). Photos are similar to a high end cell phone photo. The three way gimbal stabilizes video captures amazingly well. In Cinema Mode it is possible to capture some pretty solid shots. Solid enough that it will make you want to plan better flight paths to match. I bought the Fly More bundle for the extra batteries. With three batteries I can fly for closer to an hour without needing to recharge. Keep in mind also that the controller needs to be charged as well (and that the charger will charge whatever device you mount it to (phone/tablet). This will drain it's power and shorten flying experiences.

Great little drone
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't expecting that. The drone is awesome for a size and the price it's a great little drone for the beginners and the experienced drone pilots, the flight time of 30 minutes is great and the range is more than enough.

Very good drone and picture quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought it was going to suck with that size but wow. Flies for 30 minutes if you don't push it too hard. The picture quality is very good for a small camera and the videos on a 75 inch tv look awesome. It is very small and light but still flies in plenty of wind. Get the fly more combo. Well worth it. Very easy to fly and long range. More then you need. Just keep in mind drones like this have electronics and gps that pin point it to a foot on the map. Including height so let's say your house is near an airport or a military base etc it won't let you take off even in your back yard unless you are a part 107 pilot. You can only take off if you click for a code to be text to your phone that you input in the app and then it asks you to agree that you asked for permission to fly. If you don't have permission better not try it. You can download dji fly and i think even without the drone you should be able to see if where you want to fly is a restricted airspace. At some places it won't let you go higher then the permitted height. If you are restricted in yoyr back yard or wherever you can fly the drone line of sight without the camera by not putting your phone on the controller.

Best drone for regular people
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drone exceeded all my expectations. Super light, portable, stable, great video and picture quality. I owned a DJI Phantom 3 Standard and the difference is huge! Specially on its portability. And the lack of 4K? I don’t think that you can tell the difference if you are just posting videos on instagram o facebook and 2.7K is enough. The fly more combo is a must. 2 more batteries, the cage, the propellers, the charger and the carrying case is 100% worth it. Also the quick shots are so easy to implement and they are really helpful so you don’t have to keep an eye on the controls and be part of the picture/video

The best drone ever!! For under $500 lol
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes this is the best $500 purchase I’ve ever made, period. The $100 extra for the Fly More Combo is the best value out of all of dji’s line of drone “Fly More Combo”. Now for the drone itself, it’s the easiest drone to fly and learn what it’s like to fly a quality drone. It flys like a pro drone without the pro features, but that what makes it super easy to fly. The app for the Mini is the dji fly app which is super user friendly and easy to figure out. It hovers like no other and can fly indoors with propeller guard included in Fly More Combo with ease. Also handles wind at and under 20mph like a champion!!! I have had a couple minor crashes and it’s held up with no damage at all, so very durable quad. Do yourself a favor and get this drone today!!!!

Q: Questionwhat is the flight range of the dji mavic mini
Asked by mrm.
- A:Answer Range is 4km or about 2.5 miles. Realistically this is way too far away to keep a visual. I'd say about 1500-2000 feet is realistic. Battery life is about 27 min in normal conditions 30 minutes if perfect conditions.

Q: Questionif I buy a mavic mini will I need to register or activate it in any way
Asked by riverat.
- A:Answer It does not need to be FAA registered as it’s just below the weight requirement. But... you still have to follow all of the FAA drone rules. Just because it’s small you aren’t allowed to fly over people, sports events or close to airports. Activate... you’ll need the smartphone/device app which will in effect activate/register it with DJI

Q: QuestionDoes it have a follow mode?
Asked by Guto.
- A:Answer No, it doesn't have a follow mode.

Q: QuestionDoes this combo have everything included or are there more things I will have to buy to get it up and running? I have already bought the memory card separately.
Asked by Yo.
- A:Answer The Combo has everything you need to be able to fly. However, make sure you have a compatible cell phone for viewing while you fly. It is a lot more fun. I also found out that the Ipad mini, version 4 is compatible, even though it isn't listed as one of the compatible devices. Using my Ipad mini gives me a much bigger viewing area.

Q: QuestionCan I purchase the DJI Care Refresh (Mavic Mini) from Best Buy? If not can I purchase it from DJI directly even if I buy the Mavic Mini from Best Buy?
Asked by Dave1899.
- A:Answer From other DJI drone purchases, you have a certain amount of days to buy DJI Care, no questions asked (consider that since you need the app to fly they know exactly when you first used it). If you wait to buy, they had a program where you couyld take a video of all the features working (using a preset script) and submit that... once they approved the video the purchase was approved. I dont know if they still offer it. So simply just buy direct soon after firing up the drone

Q: QuestionHello, do you have the model that has the Anatel Homologation for Brazil?
Asked by Sam.
- A:Answer Hi Sam! Its only has FCC and CE logo on the box and devices in it. For Anatel homologation you would have to get it done from Brazil itself . Check out this URL : https://forum.dji.com/thread-203067-1-1.html Good luck and safe flying
