Excellent RAM for the price !
I bought an 8 GB (2x4GB) kit of the Viper Elite 2666 MHZ RAM (PVE48G266C6KGY) to use on my Asus ROG Strix B450 Gaming Mb with a Ryzen 5 2600 OC'd to 4 GHz.My original RAM from a different manufacturer failed so I am sending them in for RMA and bought these to use until I get the replacement RAM.This RAM easily OC'd to 2933 with the same timings used for 2666 Mhz XMP profile (16-17-17-17-36).According to Thaiphoon Burner they are SpecTek (Micron) Single Rank (I believe they are A Die).Overall I am Very impressed with this RAM kit and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good RAM kit at a reasonable price for use with a Ryzen 2000 series CPU.

This was great value for the money. 8 gigs of RAM is plenty fast. I can load as many web pages with video as I want without a hitch. I don't do gaming so I can't speak to that. But if you need more, this is a good, reliable name brand. I've had Patriot and PNY RAM for many years and I've never had a piece fail. Probably the most reliable component you can get.

Great performance, not necessarily a budget tool. I’m a 3D pool and landscape graphic designer and my designs require rapid 2d to 3D rendering with run through push to fail testing. Bought 1x16 stick 8 months back and added a second just to know the difference. Performance is the best I’ve experienced so far at half the price of other options I was considering. My custom build is Gigabyte x470 Aorus Pro WiFi Motherboard. Ryzen 2700 cpu and a Samsung evo pro Nvme 1tb ssd hd. EVGA 650 power supply and a cooler master rgb tower. EVGA GTX 1080 graphics card. Running smooth in the 3D world. Can’t complain...

This is solid memory for a solid price. I personally migrated over to a set of Corsair sticks because I realized I wanted a higher clockspeed to go with my Ryzen, but this RAM is as advertised. There are several morons leaving 1-star reviews because they don't understand how overclocking works; they see it as 2133 in the BIOS, and assume there is something wrong with the memory - NO, there is nothing wrong with the memory. All memory comes at a default, you need to enable the XMP overclock in the BIOS to get it to advertised speeds (in this case, 2666). This is the case in all the memory modules I have had, including my current set of Corsair ones. Don't listen to the ignorant people here saying it isn't 2666- it is, they just have no idea what they are talking about.

I've now had this RAM (2x16GB Kit) for over a year. It has been rock solid without any issues the entire time. I ran memtest86 on it for a day when I first got it. No errors.

I'm running this on a MSI Z390-A PRO with XMP enabled. The correct overclock speed was detected immediately. If you are new to this RAM speed, then please remember that you must enable XMP in order to run this at the advertised speed. If you are unable to do so, then it is a BIOS issue, and not a RAM issue.

To those people leaving bad reviews for not being able to run at the advertised speed. Please do you homework before you write. All your review does is make you look stupid to all of the experienced users, and it confuses all the newcomers. This RAM will run at 2666MHz as advertised. If your motherboard supports XMP then it will do so automatically as soon as you enable that feature. Otherwise you will have to manually overclock it.

Finally, to those put off by the term overclock. This is technically not overclocking since the RAM modules are designed to run at that speed. The issue is that 2133MHz is the standard speed for the industry. Higher speeds are specified in the standard, but these are referred to a "enthusiast" speeds. Which just means that if the motherboard supports it, and the RAM is manufactured to the higher speed specification, then it's safe to run at the speed indicated by the RAM manufacturer. Not all motherboards support this, so again, please do your homework.

It's ram, it works. The thing I think it really has going for it is how good it looks without the use of rgb lighting. I paired this with an ASUS B-450 M motherboard in my machine and the two go very well together. It wasn't the easiest to install but that's just kind of the battle you have with ram sometimes.

So I bought this kit for a used and new build I was making and at first, this ram was a bit difficult to set up. I was running into some issues getting the XMP profile to work, however, after updating my bios (AM4 platform) I was able to not only use the XMP profile but also overclock it to 3200mhz stable (not a guarantee).
Overall, it's a great set of ram if you're on a budget. It's not gorgeous ram however, for the price I believe it's well worth it. Recommend this to any builder looking to make a cheap upgrade or first time build.

Haven't used Patriot memory in years but this model was a great price compared to Corsair and what do you know? It works great, plug and play no problem. Nice to have the added heatshield too since I used it in my small form factor case that gets a little toasty under load. I bought the 16gb single stick so I could pair it with another in the future and have 32gb.

I just built my new PC, I paired 16Gb (2x8) on my MSI B360 Gaming plus and I5-8400 and 512GB WD Black M.2 running on Windows 10... It works like a charm! The only thing I had to do was go to Mobo settings and enable XMP to get memory running up to 2666Mhz, otherwise, RAM would work to lower speed. Very recommended purchase, and for people saying the memory works at lower speed, please check your Mobo and processor, because it may not be a product related problem, if your Mobo or CPU doesn't support OC RAM, it just won't work as expected... Remember, your PC will be as fast as your slower component...
