From the moment you start Ghost Giant, you can tell the people at Zoink Studios put their heart into this game. There's charm in every area in Ghost Giant. It provides a good change of pace to something a little more relaxing and relatable for many people who will play this. The game's a bit steep for a $30 dollar release, but I understood that when I purchased Ghost Giant so I can't complain too much. I'd recommend it Ghost Giant especially if you get the game on sale.

This game pulls on the heart strings. It tackles on the effect of depression on those around you and the friendship between you and the main character. Felt immersive in this little world of animals who live life like people.

The reason I'm only giving this 3 stars is the price. It's a very beautiful game but, just like Moss, it's very short. The game can be finished in 2 or 3 sittings but I spent a little more time than I did on Moss, maybe 5 hours or so.

The story is a little sad and sweet at the same time. It's pretty vague and leaves a lot to the imagination. It is definitely a G-rated game.

The VR aspect is amazing. You're right in the middle of these little settings. You can spend a lot of time examining the small details and the beautiful artwork.

There's not much to it as far as gaming goes. Solve some simple puzzles, turn knobs, find hidden items, poke and prod things until you figure out what you're supposed to be doing next. It can take some time to figure stuff out and they do a good job not making everything painfully obvious. But that's it. You control the environment but never the characters. You're more watching a story unfold than playing a game. I was captivated and finished it really quick but I'm not in a rush to play it again.

That said it's a cool game to have if you don't mind paying $30 for the experience. I kinda knew what I was getting into but I bought it anyway. It's a different take on the VR experience but I feel it shows potential for more options than just first person VR games.

Astro Bot Rescue Missions is still the bee's knees, though, as far as third person VR games go.

Ghost Giant literally begs you to get invested but the clumsy controls will ruin it quickly. I experience no issue with any other title but this one. Cute and charming isn't the only thing needed in making a game like this, it needs to be fun and this is far from it. Even outside the controls, the objectives are asinine to figure out sometimes, especially when interacting with objects is a mess. This game is a hard-pass from me.

This is a very good but short video game. It has a lot of charm and you'll enjoy your five or so hours that you spend on it. Just know that there is only a bit of replay value. What is here is definitely worthwhile. It's an interesting little world and the writing and performances are solid.
