Please I'm giving WhatsApp 3 star because of the recent iOS update it's not so good to be honest. Talking of the status update I can't select and delete all my status updates at once I can't even search for the particular status I wanna view. It's hard to now navigate through WhatsApp like it used to be like noo we don't want this please return WhatsApp with the old status update style.
The new update is cool and stuffs but please there are some things that makes WhatsApp special you're taking them away already Mark! Work with your team and make WhatsApp a better place for us and bring back our old stock WhatsApp features including the new WhatsApp features too. WhatsApp is cool if you retain the old quality but add new features to it. That's why iPhone is still the best still the same old Apple but new features on every new phone released. Mark and the Meta team please create a better WhatsApp.

I am using the iOS App. Requests to get a copy of MY data collected by WhatsApp per CCPA are being fobbed by utterly irrelevant responses.
Also, I fail to understand why WhatsApp will not let us hide/block irrelevant channels from the Find Channels section on the 1st tab which is "Updates". Frankly channels themselves feel intrusive in a messenger app ( I am old school ) however they can have some limited use as long as we can curate the suggested channels list ( or just remove it altogether - we can always search & follow what we want ). The key issue is that the suggested channels are in languages I do not understand, &/or sports I do not follow &/or countries I am not interested in etc. Most of these channels aren't even the most popular nor least aligned to my public data, navigation on and off WhatsApp, or posts on any social media accessed through the phone / email associated to my account. I am curious as a software engineer and startup founder myself as to where WhatsApp algorithm is getting the misinformation from! Very close to deleting the app! There also may be a side issue with AppStore review functionality as the review does not seem to be sent so I apologize if you see this review sent multiple times

Today I updated the latest version and I am able to write the review. I reached out to help multiple times regarding this issue but of no use. Such useless service. Now about the issue, you messed up something with iOS version. I am unable to change my number on WhatsApp. It always says I am not using the official WhatsApp, when I reached the help, your team gave me a link which redirects me here again and I don’t see any option to install as I already have the same app installed it allows me only to open. Till yesterday I could not even write this review. Whenever I clicked on write review, it used to say I am not owning this app. As I updated the app today, I am able to write the review now that means your team fixed something with this update. Next issue, as part of the above issue I took the backup my chat history to iCloud and deleted the account, hoping that will clear any glitches but while doing it WhatsApp completely deleted the backup from iCloud. How can WhatsApp delete my backup without asking for confirmation? This is ridiculous. I should be able to download the chat history with any other number.
